Tuesday,2 days before the surgery,the surgeons office called and told me the surgery was canceled.
My health insurance provider won't pay for the surgery. Because I'm a smoker. Now in order to get surgery I have to quit smoking for 30 days and prove it by taking a blood test. Then they can schedule the surgery again.
That said. It's getting to the point where I don't have a big problem with insurance companies refusing to provide coverage for drinkers, smokers, Big Mac addicts with their clogged **** arteries, and anti-vaxxers.
And...it's a private insurance company...private companies can do pretty much whatever they want.
For instance, a restaurant, which is a private business, can tell you to get out if you have no shoes, no shirt, no mask or no vaccination card. I thought you conjobs were all about our rights and freedoms. Why do you hate the rights and freedoms of private businesses so much?
